Why bringing 2Pac back from the dead is not only creepy, but unethical, yet porn and Angry Birds are totally okay as long as you do it for the betterment of the species.
Technology has always been at the forefront of ethical debate. Much like medical ethics, it usually takes a while for the legal system to catch up to what we can actually do with what we have. The security camera was invented and put into place before the discussion on worker’s privacy came into play. Same with wiretaps and personal privacy. Same with birth control, video game rating systems, etc. Sometimes it seems that we discover or invent something just to put it on a shelf labeled “Thing We Probably Shouldn’t Have Even Dealt With In The First Place” or “Epic Dust Collector.”
